Angwin Family Pigeons – Top Racing Pigeons

Welcome to Angwin Family Pigeons

We are the angwin family and we race pigeons on the East to West route and South with the National.

We live near Penzance in Cornwall, just three miles from landsend and we have the sea on three sides, about four miles in each direction… so you can imagine the hawk problems we have!

The family is father Mick and son John. Mick started with pigeons as a boy in 1950. He moved to Northants and raced in Wellingborough North Road in about 1962 for a couple of years and then moved back to Cornwall and started racing again in1977.

In the 1980’s he and his son raced the Rapido Busschaerts and won between12 and 20 1st prizes each year.

When John was 15 he started courting and that finished him with the pigeons, but in 2005 when he was 40, we started again in partnership, and in 2006 we bought all of Mervyn Eaglesons stock birds to breed alongside the Eaglesons we had bought from Johnson Eaglesons sales.

In the last four years we have won over 80 first prizes in club, fed and combine, racing in one club. We believe we have the best stud of Eagleson Busschaerts in the British Isles.

We have Busscharts, Hofkins, Delbars as well as some Cooremans. We have only raced two Cooremans and they have both topped the Combine!
